Okay, I decided to give this a try. Still, I think this may take a while to get use to. (So many layers, and my eyes hurt).
So really, tell me what you were worried about? I’ve been doing this for years, and my colorings STILL don’t look this good. xD
Moon Cosmic Power Make Up. Oh how I’ve missed you my love.
I just can’t even begin to explain my love for this scene. First of all, Ikuko is the main reason why I love this episode so much. She’s never been the victim before….alone AND defenseless. I believe the only time we see her in danger is when the family is on vacation at the onsen in Classic, and even then she still had Shingo and Kenji with her.
Look, as I said before, the senshi are obviously inclined to save humanity. Period. But there is a deep seated anger when you see someone you care about with their dreams being held by some creep. Chibiusa, being a girl who didn’t even necessarily care about Ikuko at first in R, is now molding into a true senshi with her care for her second mother. This is also what Neo-Queen Serenity meant when she told her to make connections with people. That is exactly what she meant. In contrast to her original trip to present day Tokyo, this time she’s content and wants to live a normal life. She now has these opportunities to forge bonds with those she never expected she would.
She loves Ikuko just as much as she loves her own mother, which I think is amazing. Who says you can’t have two mothers, and being that Ikuko is her grandmother, I say that’s close enough.
Plus just a highlight on Usagi and Mamoru. They just look so proud of her. Especially Usagi. Not only does she respect her for protecting her mother, but she will also be Chibiusa’s mother herself. They are one in the same, caring for the same people. <3
At this point, this is super normal. Usagi’s gotten her act together with knowing when battles are upon her. Especially if CHIBIUSA is the one starting it. So you know Usagi does her little speech and is just all POWERFUL AND INDEPENDENT AND HELL YEAH I’M OLDER AND CONFIDENT SAILOR MOON.
And then these senshi pop up five seconds later. “You’re all here guys?”
Makoto, Minako and Ami: “OH USAGI.”
Rei: “Gurl shut up you know I’m here get out stop it.” Hand on hip of course.
Just so you know, you’re stuck with them now, Usagi. :P
